SISTER JANE (Frances Marie) RATERMANN, ASC, 80, of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, Ruma Center, Ruma, Illinois, passed away at 8:10 am, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 after complications from a recent stroke. She was born to the late Joseph and Wilma (nee Woltering) Ratermann in Breese, Illinois on September 5, 1934. She made her first vows as an Adorer of the Blood of Christ on July 1, 1955 and perpetual profession on July 1, 1960 and had been professed for 60 years. Sister Jane served as pharmacist at each of the community sponsored hospitals in Illinois: St. Clement (now Red Bud Regional) Hospital in Red Bud, St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, and St. Vincent (now Taylorville) Memorial Hospital in Taylorville. She often organized the department and served as director of the pharmacy staff. She taught one year in New Hamburg, MO. Then she returned to pharmacy, working at John Cochran Veterans' Hospital in St. Louis for 8 years and St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville for 3 years. She was the Assistant Administrator of Appalachian Regional Hospital in Harlan, KY and pharmacist at Berea Hospital in Berea, KY for 8 years. She served as Coordinator of Mountain West Region of Religious Women for the Lexington Kentucky Diocese. She also served as director of the volunteer program for the Adorers of the Blood of Christ. Survivors: 2 Sisters Deane (Jack) Richter Pat Fehrmann 2 Brothers Father Jerome Ratermann Dan Ratermann 1 Sister-in-law Virginia Ratermann 1 Brother-in-law Simon Plebanek Many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Friends and members of the ASC Community Preceded in death by: Parents, 1 Sister - Joan Plebanek, 6 Brothers - Wilbert, Thomas, Arnold, Paul, Mark and James Ratermann, 1 Brother-in-law - Cletus Fehrmann, 3 Sisters-in-law - Ruth, Barbara and Dorothy Ratermann and 1 Sister, Mary Ann, died in infancy.
