ROLAND SAMUEL HAMMEL, 82, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:05 am, Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home Chester, Illinois. He was born to the late Samuel and Matilda (nee Dietrich) Hammel on April 3, 1933 in Chester, Illinois. He married Phyllis J. Foster on June 14, 1952 in Chester, Illinois; she survives Roland was a retired truck driver and had worked for 52 years at the Chester Dairy, Chester, Illinois. Roland was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Chester, Illinois.
