ROGER D. KATTENBRAKER, 80, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 12:30 pm, Monday, July 6, 2015 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois. He was born to the late H. Arthur and Clara (nee Eggemeyer) Kattenbraker on June 29, 1935 in Sparta, Illinois. He married K. Elaine Buescher on April 28, 1962 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, Illinois; she survives. He was a self-employed Painter for 20 years. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester; where he served as an Elder, on the Board of Trustees and was currently an usher. He was a long standing member of Chester Lions Club. He loved to work outdoors and was an avid walker. He served in the United States Army from 1958-1960 being stationed in Germany.
