LEORA M. BAUER, 92, of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 11:59 am, Sunday, June 28, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Fred and Hilda (nee Zipfel) Becker on January 27, 1923 in Evansville, Illinois. She married John Bauer and they recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on June 5th. She had worked at International Shoe Company in Evansville, Illinois for 36 years. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois and former member of the Altar Sodality. She also had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Evansville and a former Cub Scout Den Mother. She was an avid quilter and a great cook, especially her Sunday fried chicken. She had a great sense of humor.
