BERTHA MAY SPRENGEL, 85, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 4:44 pm, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois. May was born to the late Martin and Minnie (nee Weseloh) Oetjen on May 14, 1930 in Jacob, Illinois. May married Oscar William Sprengel on July 3, 1948 in Steeleville, Illinois; he preceded her in death on June 22, 2006. May was a homemaker. May was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois; where she also sang in the choir, was a member of the L.W.M.L and was the director of the funeral dinner. She was also a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary in Chester, Illinois.
