CHARLES JOSEPH TILMANN, 83, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away at 1:30 am, Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Gateway Regional Medical Center, Granite City, Illinois. He was born to the late Walter and Madge (nee Hoffman) Tilmann on March 22, 1932 in Modoc, Illinois. He had worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years. He was of the Catholic Faith. He attended Normal University. He was an avid worker at the local YMCA and a member of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organization (AFL-CIO) and Canadian Labor Congress (CLC). He was an avid Cardinals Fans and was a season ticket holder. He was a Navy Veteran.
