LaVerne Gerberding, 94, of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 11:55 pm, Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Manor Grove Nursing Home, Kirkwood, Missouri. She was born to the late Herman and Esther (nee Decker) Haacke on October 6, 1920 in Chester, Illinois. LaVerne married Herbert Gerberding on April 15, 1950 in Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on October 15, 1992. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois; where she was a member of the Lutheran Women Missionary League. She was also a member of the Chester Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors: 2 Children: Dr. Allen Glenn (Nancy) Gerberding Jacksonville, IL LaDonna (Bruce) Patterson St. Louis, MO 6 Grandchildren: Nick (Angie) Gerberding Springfield, IL Alex (Shana) Gerberding St. Louis, MO Elizabeth Gerberding Orlando, FL Jeremy (Angie) Patterson Baku, Azerbaijan Nathan (Jenny) Patterson Freeburg, IL Bethany (Chris) LePage St. Louis, MO 6 Great Grandchildren: Michael Gerberding, Kindred & Soren Patterson, Arabella & Serafina Patterson and Wesley LePage Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends Preceded in death by: Parents and Husband - Herbert Gerberding and 3 Sisters and 1 Brother Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, Illinois Officiating: Rev.
