MARIE E. KOHRS, 91, of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 3:30 am, Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois. She was born to the late George and Fredricka (nee Hapke) Eggemeyer on March 11, 1924 in Walsh, Illinois. Marie married Raymond M. Kohrs on April 17, 1943 at Walsh, Illinois; he preceded her in death on January 21, 1985. She was a housekeeper at Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, Illinois for over 25 years. She had also worked at the International Shoe Factory in Evansville, Illinois. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh, Illinois and her earlier years had been a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Evansville, Illinois. She was an avid quilter, gardener and a great cook.
