LUVERNE EGGE-WOODY, 98, of Chester, Illinois, formerly of Portland, Oregon, passed away at 2:55 am on Friday March 6, 2015, at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, Illinois. She was born to the late Joseph and Edith (nee: Nehk) Kugler on August 23, 1916 in Friberg Township, Minnesota. LuVerne was married to Milton B. Egge on July 16, 1938. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1970. She then married David Woody on March 3, 1991. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1991. She was a child care provider. LuVerne was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, IL. While in Portland Oregon she was a member of the LWML, LLL, Ladies Aid, a Sunday School Teacher, Founder and First President of City Wide Child Care, an Avon Representative and enjoyed Ballroom Dancing.
