JEAN LINDSEY, 77, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 12:20 pm, Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois. She was born to the late William and Myrtle (nee Sellers) Mayfield on February 16, 1938 in New Hanover, Illinois. She married Jackie W. Lindsey on June 15, 1956 at the First United Methodist Church in Chester, Illinois; he survives. Jean had been the bookkeeper for Lindsey Oil, Inc. for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chester and also the Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was an artist, an avid crafter, gardener and seamstress.
