ILA MARIE MELLIERE, 72, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 4:45 am, Tuesday, January 06, 2015 at Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. She was born to the late Wendell and Esther (nee Ellner) Melliere on June 19, 1942 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois. She married the love of her life, James L. Kern, in 1962 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ruma, Illinois; he preceded her in death on June 13, 1976. She had worked as a bank teller at First Bank in Red Bud. Over the years, she had owned and operated Cedar Inn in Baldwin, Mode O'Day in Sparta and Parkside Tavern in Baldwin. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Illinois.
