FRANKLIN D. "FRANK" SHEELER, 78, of Sparta, Illinois, passed away at 7:15 pm, Friday, December 12, 2014 at Randolph County Care Center in Sparta, Illinois. He was born to the late William Curtis and Margaret (nee: O'Neill) Sheeler on November 8, 1936 in Coulterville, Illinois. Frank married Leola E. Koester on August 8, 1959 in Baldwin, IL. She survives. He was a Lithographer for World Color Press He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sparta where he was on a number of committees including elder and choir. He was a member of the Coulterville VFW, a Veteran Fireman for the Sparta Fire Department for 10 years, a University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener, a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans - Belleville Chapter and a past member of the Sparta Lions Club. He was an Army Veteran.
