WILLIAM "Bill" M. KUNKEL, 79, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 9:25 am, Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his residence. He was born to the late William and Mary (nee Carron) Kunkel on August 17, 1935 in Fults, Illinois. Bill married Jo Ann Gielow on March 28, 1954 at St. John Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois; she survives. He had been an Electrician for the State of Illinois working at Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Illinois. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Illinois and IBEW Local #702 in West Frankfort, Illinois. He loved going to his grandson's basketball games. He was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. Survivors: Wife: Jo Ann Kunkel Red Bud, IL 2 Children: Debbie Koester Mike (Karen) Kunkel Red Bud, IL 7 Grandchildren: Andrea (Kevin) Florreich, Brandon (Alana) Kunkel, Adam Kunkel, Monica Kunkel, Korey, Kristen and Kendra 7 Great Grandchildren 2 Brother-in-law: Earl Nagel Red Bud, IL Alfred (Olivia "Toots") Gielow Bloomsdale, MO Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends Preceded in death by Parents, 1 Sister - Violet Nagel and 1 Nephew - David Gielow It was Bill's wishes to be cremated.
