WALTER E. DECKER, 79, of Chester, Illinois, passed away on at 3:25 pm, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born to the late Walter H. and Elfrieda (nee Mueller) Decker on June 1, 1935 in Chester, Illinois. He married Doris R. Moeller on October 27, 1961 at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois; she survives. He had worked in the Trucking Department doing payroll at Gilster Mary-Lee for 46 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wine Hill, Illinois and was also a choir member. He was also member of The Spare Time Quartet. He was an Army Veteran.
