BETTY JEAN WHEATLEY, 78, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 8:47 am on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, IL. She was born to the late Arnold and Irma (nee: Welge) Schweizer on May 19, 1936 in Red Bud, IL. She married Judge James F. Wheatley on March 11, 1970 in Wayne County, MO. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1997. Betty was a retired Telephone Operator for General Telephone and Physical Therapist at Memorial Hospital in Chester. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, IL. She was also a member of the Catholic Council of Women, Red Hat Society, Women's Club and the Chester Country Club. Survivors: 1 Sister: Marilyn Runge Chester, IL 1 Brother Robert (Donna) Schweizer Chester, IL Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends Preceded in death by: Parents, Husband - Judge James Wheatley, 1 Sister - Ruth Ellen Schweizer and 1 Brother-in-law - Earl Runge Funeral Service: 12:30 pm, Saturday, December 6, 2014 Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois Officiating: Very Reverend Eugene H.
