GRACE AGNES BUATTE, 92, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 7:27 pm, Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois. She was born to the late John H. and Sylvia (nee Medcalf) Jungewaelter on January 19, 1922 in Warrenton, Missouri. She married Charles Louis Buatte on June 12, 1943 in Sioux Falls, SD; he preceded her in death on March 19, 2013. She had been a homemaker. She had also worked as a store clerk at Chester Bakery, Lot-A-Savings, and Shermans. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Catholic Council of Women, both in Chester. She was a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary, both in Chester. She loved to bake anything sweet and was known for "Popcorn Balls" . She loved to do embroidery, play bingo, doing crafts and watching Cardinal Baseball. She also volunteered at St. Mary's Catholic School.
