RICHARD "DICK" E. SAVAGE, 88, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 11:10 am, Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, Illinois. He was born to Frederick R. and Mary E. (nee: Havens) Savage on December 5, 1925 in Winchester, Illinois. He married Vada McAdams on January 27, 1950 in Chester, IL. She survives. He was retired from the Railroad, Bert's Auto and the City of Chester. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Chester, IL and the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Union. He was a good husband. He loved kids, trains and antique cars. He loved the little things in life that made him happy. His treasures in life were all his family and friends. He loved God in his own private way. He loved to tell stories and a good joke.
