OMEGA RUTH REEDER, 89, of Rockwood, Illinois, passed away at 9:30 pm, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois. She was born to the late Jesse and Effa (Parker) Nance on December 17, 1924 in Chester, Illinois. She married James L. Reeder on June 4, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois; he preceded her in death on January 6, 1988. She had been the Patient Account Manager for Memorial Hospital, Chester for 21 years. She attended Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian Church in Rockwood, Illinois and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary in Chester, Illinois, Chester Women Club and Hospital Auxiliary. She also volunteered for various organizations. Survivors: 1 Son James E. Reeder Chester, IL 1 Daughter-in-law Kimberly K. Reeder Chester, IL 4 Siblings Esther Johnson Chester, IL Russell (Nancy) Nance Tacoma, WA Sharon Owen Success, MO Oma Phelps Chester, IL 1 Granddaughter Rachel Elizabeth (David) Bevell 1 Great Grandchild Reed Edward Bevell Life Long Friend of 72 years Kitty (Bill) Fizz Knoxville, TN Several Nieces, Nephews and their families Preceded in death by: Parents, Husband - James, Infant Daughter - Linda Sharon Vernum, 3 Brothers - Roy Cluster, Earl B. Nance and Forrest B. Nance and 1 Sister - Lilah Morgan It was Omega's wishes to be cremated.
