He was born to the late Moy and Cloa (nee Triplett) Kelley on October 10, 1925 in Essex, Missouri. He married Iva Bea Hubbard on March 22, 1946 in Charleston, Missouri; she survives. He had been a Carpenter for Local #1361 in Chester, Illinois. He had been a member of Carpenter Local #1361 in Chester, Illinois and Modern Woodman. He had been a former member of Carpenter Local #480 in Freeburg, Illinois.
