ALICE L. KORANDO, 88, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 2:30 am on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, IL. She was born to the late Bert Stephen and Marie (nee: Short) Rodely on March 13, 1926 in North City, IL. She married Michael T. Korando, Sr. on November 6, 1943 in Chester, IL. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2008. Alice was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, IL. She was also a member of the Catholic Council of Women, VFW Auxiliary Post #3553 of Chester, IL, American Legion Auxiliary Alva Courier Post #487 of Chester, IL and Chester Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors: 3 Children: Janice Marie Straight (husband - Jim Smith) Chester, IL Michael Thomas Korando, Jr. (wife - Tina) Jacob, IL David Russell Korando (wife - Janice) Chester, IL 1 Sister: Helen Wheeles Herrin, IL 9 Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends Preceded in death by: Parents, Husband - Michael T.
