ROBERT L. "LOUIE" MELCHING, SR., 80, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 10:05 am, Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, Florida. He was born to the late William and Amanda (nee Lang) Melching on April 27, 1934 in Burksville, Illinois. He married Irene Katherine Farago on February 16, 1955 in Waterloo, Illinois; she survives. He had owned and operated Louie's Auto Repair in Red Bud for 58 years. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Red Bud, Illinois, where he had also been a council member.
