EDWARD J. SURMAN, 98, of Perryville, Missouri, formerly of Chester, Illinois passed away at 6:21 pm, Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Independence Care Center in Perryville, Missouri. He was born to the late John and Mary (nee Novack) Surman on October 14, 1915 in Chester, Illinois. Edward was married to Marion Montroy on October 26, 1938 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois; she survives. He was a Plant Manager for Gilster Mary Lee Corporation at the Perryville Plant for 25 years and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester, Illinois. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council #3790, Moose Lodge #1764 and Eagles Aerie #3252 all of Chester.
