CARROL L. "PAPPY" RINEHART, SR., 91, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:40 pm, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Chester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Chester, Illinois. He was born to the late Russel and Beulah (nee Tolliver) Rinehart on December 23, 1922 in Clay County, Illinois. He married Mary Lou Erwin on April 24, 1948 in Morganfield, Kentucky; she survives. He had been a truck driver for 65 years and retired after driving 38 years for the Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation in Chester. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was life member of the V.F.W. Post #3553 of Chester and American Legion Post # 487 in Chester. He was a WWII Army Veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart.
