SISTER RITA ANN FREY, ASC, 78, of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, Ruma Center, Ruma, Illinois, died at 3:45 am, Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois. She was born to the late Jacob J. and Irene (nee Heil) Frey on December 8, 1935 in Piopolis, Illinois. She made her first vows as an Adorer of the Blood of Christ on July 1, 1954 and final profession on July 1, 1959. Received her Bachelor of Science degree from Sacred Heart College, Wichita, Kansas in 1969. Sister Rita Ann served as teacher, principal, religious educator and GED instructor. Her places of ministry included Taylorville, IL (1955-56), Metropolis, IL (1957-61; 1965-68), St. Matthew in Alton, IL (1961-65), Lawrenceville, IL (1969-72), St. Augustine in Belleville, IL (1972-73), Pinckneyville, IL (1973-77), Fort Dodge, IA (1977-79), Vienna, MO (1979-90) and Zell, MO (1990-2011). In 2011, Sister Rita Ann retired to the Ruma Center.
