VERA E. SHERBERT, 92, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away at 6:30 pm on Thursday January 9, 2014, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, IL. She was born to the late Gilbert and Anna (nee: Graves) Doza on August 16, 1921 in Kaskakia, IL. She married Benjamin W. Sherbert on March 27, 1958 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2008. Vera was a retired cook. She was a member of Light House United Pentecostal Church in Evansville, IL. Survivors: 5 Children: JoAnn (Gene) Pitts Virginia Politte Nikki Rushing Charlene Bramlett Rebecca (Jim) Kelley 1 Brother: Al Herschbach 20 Grandchildren 24 Great Grandchildren Several Great-Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by: Parents, Husband - Benjamin W.
