She was born to Wilbert and Norma (nee: Killgrove) Hemmen on June 29, 1936 in Chester, IL. She married Donald Schroeder on February 14, 1989. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2006. Nancy was a retired security worker for Chester Mental Health Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, IL.
