WILLIAM E. "BILL" MATTINGLY, 79, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 7:08 am, Friday, November 29, 2013 at the Red Bud Regional Care in Red Bud, Illinois. He was born to the late Joseph Edward and Mary Ethel (nee Coomes) Mattingly on July 14, 1934 in Knottsville, Kentucky. He married Mary Ray on April 9, 1955 in Lutesville, Missouri; she survives. He had been a bumper repairman for Keystone Automotive in St. Louis, Missouri. He was of the Catholic Faith and an Army Veteran. He loved woodworking and working on puzzles. He called himself "Shady Tree Mechanic".
