ROLIN J. "SHORTY" MENARD, 77, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 9:50 pm, Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois. He was born to the late Gregory and Jewel (nee Leavitt) Menard on July 20, 1936 at Riley Lake, Illinois. He had been a previous owner, along with his brother Rodger, of Menard Auto Sales. After leaving Menard, he owned Shorty Auto Parts. For the past 14 years, he was a Salesman at Menard Auto Sales in Ruma. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, he was a 3rd Degree and 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, a member of American Legion Post #1172 in Evansville, Illinois and Kaskaskia River Boat Club.
