MELICENT H. RADFORD, 92, of Chester, Illinois, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Independence Care Center in Perryville, MO. She was born to Walter Heck and Louise (nee: Telthorster) Heck on May 7, 1921 in Evansville, IL. She married Jesse Radford on September 1, 1938 in Farmington, MO. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1997. Melicent was a retired school bus driver for Zweigert Bus Service and was also an over-the-road truck driver with her husband for many years. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Evansville, IL, American Legion Auxiliary in Evansville, IL, Evansville Senior Citizens, Chester Senior Citizens and Chester Eagles.
