RUTH M. STEPHENS, 78 of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 7:30 pm, Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, Illinois. She was born to the late Clarence and Eula (nee: Ferguson) Melton on February 20, 1935 in Derson's Landing, TN. She married Ronald Stephens on June 19, 1965 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death in 1992 Ruth was a US Postal Carrier for 35 years and a cosmetologist. She was a member of Sparta Pentecostal Lighthouse. She was an Ordained Minister with The Gospel of Deliverance International Fellowship.
