DANIEL J. RANFT, 84, of Garden Ridge, TX, formerly of Chester, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday May 1, 2013, in Garden Ridge, TX. He was born to the late Delmar and Gertrude (nee Barber) Ranft on February 28, 1929 in Clayton, Missouri. He married Virginia Jones on May 19, 1950 in Chester, Illinois. She preceded him in death on April 10, 1999. He was a retired manager for a retail store. Daniel was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, IL, the Chester Eagles and VFW Post #3553 in Chester, IL. Survivors: 2 Sons: A.J.
