ROSCOE C. "BUCK" EASTRIDGE, 89, of Chester, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at 7:10 am on Friday March 22, 2013, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, Missouri. He was born to the late Roscoe and Annetta (nee Carlisle) Eastridge on June 7, 1923 in East St. Louis, Illinois. He attended Dupo Community High School in Dupo, IL and then attended Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He first married Mary E. Garner on May 10, 1946. She preceded him in death on May 8, 1984. They had two beloved children - Marsha and Bret. He then married Jeanne McLean on June 4, 1988 in Chester, IL. This year will commemorate their 25th wedding anniversary and many cherished memories together. Buck was a WWII Navy Veteran. He was a partner in Eastridge Contractors, Inc. from 1946 - 1967. He worked as a Director of Public Works for the Village of Cahokia from 1970 - 1975, then was a Project Manager for the Capital Development Board for the State of Illinois from 1975 retiring in 1988. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of the Masons in Belleville, IL and the Chester Country Club, was formerly on the St. Clair County Board in Belleville, was a Precinct Committeeman in Cahokia and Buck, along with Jack Mueller, built the Columbia Golf Course in Columbia, IL. He will remain in the hearts of his loving family: his wife - Jeanne, his children Bret Eastridge and his wife Debbie, Marsha McCoy and her husband Mac, his step children Mark McLean and his wife Maggie and Greg McLean and his wife Charlyn, Granddaughters Amy and Ashly McLean and Grandsons Austin and Richard McLean. He was preceded in death by his Parents, First Wife - Mary Eastridge and Sister - Beverly Lane. Buck possessed a contagious smile, an entertaining sense of humor and a classy demeanor.
