SISTER MARY ANN SCHRAGE, ASC, (formerly Sister Edward Marie), 79, of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, Ruma Center, Ruma, Illinois, passed away at 12:25 am, Monday, February 4, 2013 at the community's center in Ruma, Illinois. She was born to the late Edward and Christine (nee Wilke) Schrage in St. Rose, Illinois on January 30, 1934. She made her first vows as an Adorer of the Blood of Christ on July 1, 1955 and perpetual profession on July 1, 1960. Sister Mary Ann devoted her years in ministry in dietary management. She severed in large community institutions for most of her active ministry. She managed kitchens at St. Teresa Academy in East St. Louis (1962-1974), at the Ruma Center (1974-1980), at St. Ann's Home in Chester, Illinois (1980-1991) and at De Mattias Hall (1991-1995). In 1995, she moved to Maria Place in Belleville, Illinois and remained there until shortly before her death.
