ETHEL ANN HORTON, 90 of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 4:35 pm, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at her home in Chester, Illinois. She was born to the late William and Ella (nee: Mattingly) Moll on November 26, 1922 in Belgique, Missouri. She married Clyde Asbury on March 4, 1943. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1974. She then married Graham Horton on June 15, 1978 in Murphysboro, IL. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2009. Ethel was an owner of the Hi-3 Motel in Chester, IL for 18 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, IL, the Altar Sodality (Past President), American Legion Auxiliary (Past President), VFW Auxiliary, Egyptian Past Presidents Club, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Randolph County Home Extension, Chester Women's Club and was "Woman of the Year" in 1999. Survivors: 1 Son: Mitchell (Sherry) Asbury Percy, IL 2 Step-Sons: Greg (Peggy) Horton Collinsville, IL Eric (Terri) Horton Detroit, MI Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by: Parents, Husbands - Clyde Asbury and Graham Horton, 6 Brothers and 5 Sisters Funeral Mass: 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 23, 2013 St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester, Illinois Officiating: Father Gene Wojcik and Father Jeff Moore Visitation: Tuesday - 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Wednesday - 7:30 am - 9:45 am Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois Interment: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery Chester, Illinois Memorials: Masses or St. Mary Catholic School
