She was born to the late James and Doris (nee: Roche) Herschbach on September 3, 1942 in Palestine, Illinois. She married Clarence Eugene "Gene" Throop on November 24, 1960 in Ellis Grove, IL. He survives. Janet was a housewife. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis Grove, IL. She was also a member of the Moose, Eagles, VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.
