FRANCES L. KORANDO, 81, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 8:20 am, Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois. She was born to the late Bernard and Louise (nee Zugmaier) Gassel on June 4, 1931 in St. Louis, MO. She married Louis E. "Gene" Korando on February 1, 1950 at Murphysboro, Illinois; he preceded her in death on June 28, 1976. She was a homemaker and had worked as a waitress at the Nite Hawk.
