Mathilda A. Braun

January 15, 1912 — August 6, 2012

MATHILDA A. "TILLIE" BRAUN, 100, of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 5:20 am, Monday, August 6, 2012 at the Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois. She was born to the late Ferd H. and Vena S. (nee Jung) Davitz on January 15, 1912 in Evansville, Illinois. She married William Braun on October 14, 1933 in Evansville, Illinois; he preceded her in death on March 24, 1984. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois and the American Legion Auxiliary in Evansville, Illinois. Tillie was a life-long resident of Evansville, Illinois. Her friends numbered many because her life and her generous spirit touched many. She influenced the hearts and minds of all she met; she lived by examples of goodness and faith. She taught us with love and direction and she taught us with unsympathetic logic because her values were firmly rooted in her belief of God and family. The memories she created live in each of us and she leaves this world a better place just because she lived. She completed her days and her soft spoken wish "I want to go home" is finally granted!
