Mary E. "Snookie" McClure, 96, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:25 pm on Friday, July 6, 2012 at her home in Chester, IL. Mary was born to John and Helena (nee: Murer) Clendenin on October 6, 1915 in Modoc, IL. She married E. H. "Jack" McClure on January 31, 1936 in Sparta, IL. He preceded her in death on November 22, 1994. Mary was a retired Owner and Secretary of Schroeder-McClure Funeral Chapel and Home Furnishings. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chester. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Chester, a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality, a Charter Member Chester Baskerville Society, of the Mississippi Saint's and an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Rams Football fan. Above all, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
