SISTER ALOYSIA SCHUMACHER, ASC, 85, of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, Ruma Center, Ruma, Illinois, passed away at 5:54 pm, Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the community's center in Ruma, Illinois. She was born to the late Gerhard and Emelia (nee Holtgrave) Schumacher in St. Rose, Illinois on February 15, 1927. She made her first vows as an Adorer of the Blood of Christ on July 1, 1945 and final profession on July 1, 1950. Sister Aloysia served in the community's health care ministry as a staff nurse, director of nursing and as vice president of mission effectiveness for the ASC Health System. She worked at St. Vincent's Hospital in Taylorville, Illinois (1949-54; 1956-64; 1976-85), at St. Clement's Hospital in Red Bud, Illinois (1954-56; 1964-66; 1969-76; 1988-89) and in mission effectiveness for the ASC Health System from 1985-88.
