ODELIA C. "Deal" DETHROW, 96, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:40 am, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab Center in Taylor Springs, Illinois. Odelia was born to James T. and Amelia (nee: VanVoren) Kerkhover on January 5, 1916 in Belgique, MO. She married Lester V. "Patcho" Dethrow on December 29, 1934 in Chester, IL. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1995. Odelia was a retired Operating Room Technician at Memorial Hospital Chester, Illinois. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester, IL and the Catholic Council of Women. She was a 14 gallon Blood donor, a Volunteer at the Blood Bank, an avid quilter making over 100 quilts and received a Volunteer Award and pen from President Bush in 2008.
