WILMA D. EVERDING, 84, of Columbia, Illinois, formerly of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 1:14 am, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born to the late Siemon and Clara A. (nee Geitz) Ohlau on December 12, 1927 in Evansville, Illinois. She married Raymond Everding on May 15, 1949 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Evansville, Illinois; he preceded her in death on March 19, 2003. She had worked at Singer Corporation in Red Bud, Illinois and also had been co-owner, along with her husband Ray, of Ray's Shoe Store in Evansville, Illinois from 1957-1998. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Evansville, Illinois; where she was active in the choir and the Ladies Aid. She was also a past member of the Evansville Athletic Association.
