Ferd W. Goedecke, Jr., 92, of Chester, IL, passed away on Tuesday March 20, 2012, at Randolph County Care Center in Sparta, IL. He was born to Ferd W. and Mayme (nee: Postman) Goedecke, Sr. on November 19, 1919 in Chester, IL. He married Ruby Strickland on October 2, 1940 in Perryville, MO. She survives. Ferd was a retired Auto Mechanic for Cowell's Auto in Chester. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, IL. He was also a member of the Elks, Chester Boat Club, Eagles, Pinckneyville Threshers, Moose, Police Association and a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus. He was the ESDA Coordinator and was on the Chester Fire Department for 43 years. Survivors: Wife: Ruby Goedecke Chester, IL 1 Daughter: Joyce A.
