SHELDON E. "SHELLY" GITELMAN, 74, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 8:15 am, Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois. He was born to the late Max and Hannah (nee Bernstein) Gitelman on May 4, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. He was married to Beverly D. Knudsen on April 7, 1984 in Chicago, Illinois; she survives. He had been Vice-President of Sales for Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation in Chester, Illinois for 29 years. He was of the Jewish Faith. He graduated from Hyde Park High School in Chicago. He received his Bachelor Degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago and his M.B.A from University of Chicago. He also volunteered at the courthouse and hospital. He also helped seniors with their taxes. He was an Army Veteran called up for the Berlin Crisis.
