Dwain Steele Schafer, 66, of Chester, IL, passed away at 9:55 pm on Monday January 30, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in Chester, IL. He was born to Lewie and Mozelle (nee: Brown) Schafer on May 9, 1945 in Brady, Texas. He married Linda Baker on April 9, 1966 in Abilene, Texas. She survives. Dwain was a retired administrator at Chester Mental Health Center. He was a member of The First Baptist Church in Chester, IL and a past member of the Brady Fire Department, Kappa Phi Omega Fraternity and the National Tennis Academy. He was a past president of the Chester Jaycees.
