Roberta M. Mueller, 92, of Chester, IL, passed away at 1:05 pm on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, IL. She was born to the late Robert and Lulu (nee: Mathis) Leonard on May 20, 1919 in Cutler, IL. She married Robert H. Mueller on October 15, 1942 in Chester, IL. He survives. Roberta was a piano teacher for over 50 years and taught 1000's of children in the Chester area. She had also worked in the office of Price Rationing during WWII, at the International Shoe Company and the Sheriff's Department. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chester, Illinois, the National Guild of Piano Teachers, Chester Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Chester Women's Club, a life member of the Friends of the Library, Board member of Chester Area Concert Association, United Methodist Women, played the organ at church for 25 years, volunteered at St. Ann's Healthcare Center and Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home and played at many funerals and weddings.
