HILMER H. EBERS, 98, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 3:50 pm, Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois. Hilmer was born to the late Albert and Minnie (nee Clasen) Ebers on July 18, 1913 at Steeleville, Illinois. Hilmer married Cleo Pautler on April 21, 1938 at Evansville, Illinois; she preceded him in death April 16, 2010. Hilmer was a retired Meat Cutter. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Chester; American Legion Post #487, Chester; V.F.W. Post #3553, Chester; Amalgamated Meat Cutters, Butchers Local #99, and Menard ISEA Retirees. He was a WWII Army veteran.
