RUTH E. GIELOW, 93, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 2:15 am, Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois. She was born to the late George and Alvina (nee Zimmer) Lakeman on July 11, 1918 in Culter, Illinois. She married Harold Gielow on August 24, 1941 in Baldwin, Illinois; he preceded her in death on April 8, 1990. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois, the Evening Guild at Church, Home Extension, and St. Clement's Hospital Auxiliary. Ruth was a wonderful seamstress and loved to quilt. She enjoyed playing cards, going to dances, and going camping with her husband.
