FRANK M. KOESTERER, 72, of Ruma, Illinois, passed away at 11:35 pm, Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois. He was born to the late Harry and Catherine (nee Mathias) Koesterer on June 17, 1939 in East St. Louis, Illinois. He married Doris Demick on February 10, 1962 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ruma, Illinois; she preceded him in death on March 16, 2010. He had been a mechanic for Bi-State Department (Metro Transit) in St. Louis, Missouri for 32 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ruma, IL, Union #788 (Amalgamated Transit Union) and American Legion Post #622 in Prairie du Rocher, IL. He was an Army Veteran serving in special force - Airborne Ranger.
