SISTER AGNESINE (MARY ELIZABETH) JANSEN, ASC, 87, of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, Ruma Center, Ruma, Illinois, passed away at 5:30 am, Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Belleville Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois. She was born to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Van der Haar) Jansen on June 14, 1924 in St. Rose, Illinois. She made her first vows as an Adorer of the Blood of Christ on July 1, 1942 and perpetual profession on July 1, 1947. Sister Agnesine was a nurse anesthetist who served at St. Clement's Hospital in Red Bud, Illinois from 1946-47, 1948-57 and 1960-63. She worked at St. Vincent's Hospital in Taylorville, Illinois from 1957-60 and 1963-71. Her longest years of service were at St. Joseph's Hospital in Murphysboro, Illinois from 1971-2005. Survivors: Many Nieces and Nephews Preceded in death by: Parents, 1 Brother - Clem and 3 Sisters- Sister Mary De Sales, ASC, Dorothy (Virgil) Diekemper and Agnes (Lewis) Huegen.
