Leonore M. "Lee" Koopman, 94, of Chester, IL, passed away at 12:18 pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Chester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Chester, IL. She was born to Arthur W. and Emma (nee: Wiebusch) Werre on August 9, 1916 in Steeleville, IL. She married Arthur G. Koopman on June 25, 1939 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville, IL. He preceded her in death in 1979. Lee was a housewife. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, Illinois. She was active in church and community. She was a member of the PTA, Band Patrons, Chester Women's Club, St. John Ladies Aid, Garden Club, a Cub Scout Den Mother and enjoyed golf, bridge and flower gardening.
